Emerald City Cat Fight | October 11-12, 2025

We are excited to host your team in our beautiful city. We have a fun filled, action packed weekend planned, and are confident that you will have a great time in Seattle. This year's tournament competition will be held at Academy Sports Center in Lynnwood, Washington. This awesome facility has 6 hardwood competition volleyball courts with plenty of spectator seating and outfitted with live streaming cameras. Academy Sports Center is a quick 20-25 minute drive from downtown Seattle. You also have the option to take the Link Light Rail to the Lynnwood Station, and hop in a 10 minute Uber/Lyft to the facility.

Divisional Format & Competition

Open A/AA Division

The Open A/AA division format, which originated in Seattle, returns with the 2025 Emerald City Cat Fight. All A and AA teams are welcome and will be combined for Pool Play. Teams will be seeded top to bottom and placed in pools based on the makeup of their rostered players' ratings. After Saturday's results, the Open A/AA division will be split into separate AA and A Double Elimination tournament brackets. Any teams with 3 or more AA players, will automatically be seeded into the AA playoff bracket. Any teams with 2 or less AA players, will be seeded into the AA or A bracket, based on Saturday's Pool Play results.

BB & B Divisions

The BB and B divisions will follow traditional NAGVA divisional formats.
